Here you will find out about all the books that I have already read (well, only since I started this site) and about my favourites.

Books I recommend!

The Twilight Series by Stephanie Myers  - excellent vampire series.

The CHERUB books - again!! I really love these books.

Also The Henderson Boys by Robert Muchamore too which is excellent.

Everything by Jeffrey Archer and John Grisham and Agatha Christie.

H.I.V.E by Mark Walden - there are a series of these books and they are all really good and I have to read them all in one sitting.

Seven Ancient Wonders by Matthew Reilly. Excellent prequel to Six Sacred Stones.

Fearless by Tim Lott (it's a bit scary in places)  and The Inheritance Cycle by Christphoer Paolini - brilliant!

Double Cross by Mallorie Blackman and The Declaration by Gemma Malley

Winter Song by Jean-Claude Mourlevat

Tales of the Otori by Lian Hearn. This set of books is brilliant but hard to explain so here is the link to the official site. I can't call it a trilogy anymore because a fourth book set 16 years after the end of book three has been published! Also, the author is writing a new book which is going to be about what happened before book one. Brilliant! I can't wait!

Book One is called Across the Nightingale Floor. Mummy brought it home from her school's library and I loved it. It was fantastic. It's set in an imaginary country but it has influences of Japan. It's complicated to explain but the main characters are trying to kill a warlord who is trying to take over. It's a thriller with a bit of 'love' thrown in. Book Two is called Grass for his Pillow and I read this all in one go - it took me 8 hours! It follows on from the end of Book One and it's just as good. I'm now reading Book Three which is called Brilliance of the Moon.

Blood Brothers (TRACES) by Malcolm Rose. A good book to read if you like police and forensic science stuff. It's not a funny book; in fact, it's kind of sad in places. The ending is quite a surprise!

Sleepwalker (CHERUB) by Robert Muchamore. CHERUB is a branch of British Inteliigence. Its agents are between 10 and 17 and there are about 300 of them living on CHERUB campus. Sleepwalker is the 9th book in the series. It's not the best in my opinion but it was still enjoyable. It starts with a plane crashing over the Atlantic killing everyone on board. After that it is quite difficult to explain so you should read it yourself! Here is the link to the official Cherub campus website.

Jimmy Coates: Survival by Joe Craig. Absolutely brilliant book. The latest in the Jimmy Coates series. Jimmy is 38% human and 62% robot and is a 12 year old government assassin. I read it all in one day it was so good. It's as good as all the other Jimmy Coates books so if you liked the others you'll love this and if you haven't read any then you should. Here is the official Jimmy Coates website.

Maximim Ride: The Final Warning by James Patterson Really good book about Max and the Flock (98% human and 2% bird) and also it is about global warming. James Patterson has made it into a really good story. This is the 4th book in th series but I didn't think it was as good as the other books though. This is the official website for this series. Apparantly there is a film coming.....hope so!

On Cloud Nine by Anne Fine Brilliant, couldn't put it down. It's about a boy called Stolly who is in hospital because he has fallen out of a window and his best friend is thinking back to all the things that have happened in the past.

Skeleton Key, Scorpia and Eagle Strike by Anthony Horowitz. These are the third, fourth and fifth Alex Ryder books. I like secret agent books! Alex is 14 years old and he gets recruited to MI6 after his uncle (who also worked for MI6) gets killed. This is the link to the Alex Ryder official website.

Point Blanc by Anthony Horowitz. This is the second Alex Ryder book after Stormbreaker and I am now reading the whole series again! In this one Alex goes to France where he meets a mysterious evil headmaster at an academy for rich boys. Alex is sent to uncover any connection between some murders of some of the parents and the academy.

Skellig by David Almond. Absolutely brilliant. This is about a boy and a girl who discover someone with wings. The boy has a baby sister who is in hospital and might die and they help Skellig and Skellig helps the baby.

Kane and Abel and The Prodigal Daughter by Jeffrey Archer. I couldn't put them down!

Knife Edge by Mallorie Blackman and Noughts and Crosses by Mallorie Blackman This book is definitely one of my major recommendations to other people. You should read it!

Hacker by Mallorie Blackman

A really good book about a girl who's dad has been arrested for hacking into his bank's computer and stealing £1million. The girl, called Vicky, and her brother hack into the bank's computers themselves to find out who really did it. Very exciting!

Ice Station by Matthew Riley and Area 7, also by Matthew Riley

These two books both involve the same person as the hero of the stories. Essentially, these are fast-paced action books and I recommend them for boys probably, or girls who like action movies like James Bond and the Bourne films.

Pig Heart Boy by Malorie Blackman - brilliant! You MUST read it! It's about a boy who's in need of a heart transplant and this man offers him a heart from a pig...can't tell you the ending!

Watt is he! by someone beginning with H. Only a thin book but good. About a boy with a dull life and then a man called Harvey Angellcomes along and brightens it up.

The Rime of the Ancient Mariner by Samuel Taylor Coleridge. I read this because Coleridge went to the school I'd like to go to. I read a comic book version of this poem and really enjoyed it.

On holiday:

On holiday I read The Joshua Files, The Phantom Tollbooth, The Various Haunts of Man and Wildfire (these last two were actually my mums books!)

Since I've got home I've read Daniel X by James Patterson who writes the Maximum Ride series.....Daniel X was also brilliant!

Hero.com: Rise of the Heroes by Andy Briggs and Villain.net:Council of Evil, also by Andy Briggs

Two new series that my mum has found for me. I will let you know more about them soon!

Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief by Rick Riordan.

This is the first Percy Jackson book I have read and it was amazing. I am really looking forward to reading the other two.

Percy Jackson and the Sea of Monsters by Rick Riordan

This is part of a series about a boy who is half human and half Greek God!

Wild Swans by Jung Chang

This is an autobiography of Jung Chang's grandmother, her mother and her and is set in China. It's fantastic so far and really hard to put down.

Animal Farm by George Orwell. It's really good on Communist theory and in some places it's quite sad. I kind of wish there was a sequel because it was so good I want to know what happens after it finishes.
